I am passionate about providing legal services in the areas of estate planning, elder law and family law. These are areas of law that are intensely personal in nature –and I don’t take the responsibility of providing counsel around such issues lightly. My Midwest work ethic drives me to work relentlessly in my clients’ interests.

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs and small business owners, I’m also pragmatic about getting work done in a timely fashion and keeping my fees reasonable so that clients feel comfortable picking up the phone whenever a question or new issues arises.

Mabel, Certified Therapy Dog

Mabel is a certified therapy dog who is available to clients and their families, upon request, as a value-added service to help individuals who have anxiety, Alzheimer’s, autism, or other issues to remain relaxed and engaged during planning meetings.

Medical studies and clinical research has shown that therapy dogs can have medical benefits such as stress relief, relaxation and lowered blood pressure. A therapy dog may also provide a sense of comfort and encourage communication.

As a people pleaser, Mabel loves to cuddle with everyone. She enjoys children and is trained to work with children, particularly children with autism. In addition, she enjoys volunteering as a therapy dog with individuals who are receiving hospice care and/or memory care.

Mabel’s presence at planning meetings can be requested by anyone – from someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one to an individual who was diagnosed with a terminal condition or cognitive issues or simply because you love dogs.

Liz S., Interim Hospice Care: “Both Mabel and Rachel have visited numerous patients and have provided love and care. Mabel is a loveable, friendly volunteer and when she enters a room, the atmosphere becomes less chaotic and is filled with joy. Mable is wonderful with our patients and provides such emotional support to our patients. Pet Therapy is a gift to our patients and we so appreciate all Rachel and Mable provide to Interim Hospice. We are grateful to have such a wonderful Pet Therapy Team volunteer with our Hospice Patients.”

Danielle G., Canine Inspired Change: “Mabel is an amazing therapy dog! She’s the perfect compliment to Rachel’s calm demeanor when working with children. We are so honored to have certified them through CIC. No doubt, the ripples of their loving kindness and willingness to serve will reach far and deep. The world is better for having Mabel and Rachel in it.”
